An original oil painting on Gessobord. Painted from life in my studio. It can take me some time to get up a composition for a painting like this. So many elements to consider – value, colour, unity, variety, spacing, harmony, balance and lighting etc. I find using my home made view finder and shadow box also home made very useful when setting up my still life arrangements. I try to keep my colours as clean as possible and give consideration to each paint stroke.
